Comparison to Audubon's Style

Below the line are two images:

Both artists have beautiful design and composition, and both tend to paint their subjects in the appropriate, local plant life. Both use water color as their medium.

Marian's work seems closer to true life to me. In addition, her paintings tend to feature the birds more than the plants simply by making them a larger portion of the composition, something I appreciate by virtue of being a birder.

But look at the two images below : clearly Marian Berger creates exquisite, beautiful, accurate paintings (and resulting prints). I truly enjoy my collection.
