Laysan Honeycreeper - Fringillidae Vestiaria coccineai

A print from a painting owned by the Hawaiian Legacy Archive. I grabbed copies of this and the previous two images because they are such beautiful prints of Hawaiian birds. They are auxilliary to my Marian Berger collection. Here is a comparison of Akialoa prints.

The Akialoa is now thought extinct. For a while there was thought to be an additional species or sub-species which was called the Greater Akialoa, but it was later thought that there was just the one species, Akialoa.
