I loved the pose of the almost-in-focus red-tailed tropicbird (lower left), but again was stuck with a dull, monochromatic background sky. Not a cloud in sight! As a new background I selected the cloud photo (lower right). Selecting the tropicbird was tedious, as I wanted no blue left at all. This time I actually darkened the background to heighten the drama. I competed the image as a print and won first prize.
