Mayan Temple #2

Chan Chich Lodge is built in the middle of an old Mayan plaza, and is surrounded by buried buildings and temples such as this. The temple in this photo was cleared of trees and bushes, but otherwise left covered. Before the lodge was built, the plaza was determined to be too old and eroded to be able to excavate it.
