Crimson Crested Woodpecker - Picidae Phloeoceastes melanoleucos

This female Crimson Crested Woodpecker was nesting in the center of a small town. I have left the poor image on my website because it is such a great bird. Both the crimson crested and lineated woodpeckers of Trinidad and Tobago are similar to our pileated woodpecker.
