Po'o-uli - Fringillidae Melamprosops phaeosoma

Possibly the world's rarest bird (if not extinct), the Po'o-uli was discovered in 1973 in a remote area on the northeastern slope of Haleakala Volcano on Maui. The painting is made from sketches Patrick made of a Po'o-uli nest in the wild.
