The original photo (lower left) had a problem I often encounter: a beautiful bird, actually in focus, against an almost monochromatic and very dull background. I cropped a bit, then selected the bird in Photoshop, elliminating the background completely. I took another photograph of a sunset (I often take photographs just for this purpose) as seen on the lower right. I pepped up the background a bit, cropped the background to fit the bird, then placed the bird on top to obtain a fairly nice photo of an anhinga.
