Transportation Museum Air Show
The Owls Head Transportation Museum is located in Owls Head, ME (near Rockland), so strictly speaking this is not a local trip for us. But we love the museum and visit it every year when we go to Maine in the summer. I feet these photos fit here, so here they are! I guess if you live in the Rocland/Rockport Maine area, it is indeed a fun local trip.
The Owls Head Transportation Museum has a lot to offer, from antique bicycles and motorcycles, to some great old cars, and finally some marvelous old airplanes. The exhibits alone (inside) are worth the trip, but it is the annual air show that we love best. Hence this section on my website.
